Tomorrow's Engineers
The “Tomorrows Engineer” event is designed to encourage primary school aged students to take an interest in STEM related activities.
EDF Energy are asking local companies/colleges whether they would be interested in having a presence at their Visitor Centre, based in Angel Place Shopping Centre, Bridgwater (TA6 3TQ), during the week commencing 15th October and showcase an item of equipment/activity which would be engaging and exciting for the students to take part in.
Local primary schools are invited to the event and class spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The target audience will be ‘year 5’ students – aged between 9 and 11 years old.
The sessions will be arranged for a 2 hour morning session or a 1.5 hour afternoon session which will tie in with school lunchtimes, as follows:
- Mon 15th October – 9:30am to 11:30am session, 1:30pm to 3pm session
- Tues 16th October - 9:30am to 11:30am session, 1:30pm to 3pm session
- Weds 17th October – 1:30pm to 3pm session only
- Fri 19th October - 9:30am to 11:30am session, 1:30pm to 3pm session
If you think this is something you would like to get involved with, please get in touch as soon as possible so the centre can start planning the arrangements.
