About the Organisation

The Royal Navy Logistics Specialist Attract Team proudly delivers educational outreach across the UK, promoting the diverse and rewarding roles within the Royal Navy.

We do this through interactive workshops and engaging presentations delivered in schools and colleges, designed to inform and inspire. Our sessions are tailored to suit the skill level and curriculum needs of each institution, typically aimed at Year 10 and above, though we’re often invited to work with Year 9 learners during the late summer term.

Our visits have been consistently well received by both staff and students, offering a valuable insight into life in the Royal Navy and the vital role of logistics within military operations. We provide informational leaflets and booklets for those interested in learning more, with absolutely no pressure to sign up, we take no forms or signatures during our sessions.

Our goal is simple: to educate, inspire, and inform, opening minds to the exciting possibilities a career in the Royal Navy can offer.

Careers Activities & Information

Ready, Steady, Cook Workshop (120 mins)

Our Ready, Steady, Cook workshop is a dynamic, MasterChef-style experience designed to bring out the best in students through food, fun, and friendly competition.

In this 120-minute session, pupils are split into teams of up to five and challenged to create a main dish and a dessert within 90 minutes. Each team ingredients, recipe sheets, and expert guidance from the Royal Navy team throughout.

This hands-on activity is a brilliant way to develop teamwork, communication, initiative, and time management, all essential life and workplace skills. We provide all ingredients and promote a ‘clean as you go’ approach to ensure a safe, hygienic, and organised cooking environment.

The session is designed for up to 30 pupils, though we’re happy to be flexible depending on your group size.

Catering Services Presentation (45 mins)

This 45-minute session offers an insightful introduction to the Catering Services Branch of the Royal Navy, highlighting the wide range of career paths, lifestyle benefits, and development opportunities available.

Through a mix of engaging content and short videos, we explore life in service, from day-to-day responsibilities to the educational, social, and sporting opportunities that come with a Royal Navy career. It’s an ideal option when time is limited and a full Ready, Steady, Cook workshop isn’t feasible.

The presentation requires USB access and a projector or screen, and is perfect for sparking interest and discussion among students.
