Somerset County Council offers Apprenticeship Levy Transfers
Businesses paying the Apprenticeship Levy can now transfer 25% of their credit each year to fund apprenticeships hosted by other employers. Somerset County Council views this as an opportunity to support the community in Somerset.
If an apprentice/employer meets the below criteria Somerset County Council will accept an expression of interest to fund the candidate via levy transfer. The council will only conduct a levy transfer where no alternative 100% co-investment or levy funding is available.
The Criteria
Where the training provider is based in the Somerset County Council Area, and;
The apprentice;
Holds an Educational Health and Care Plan
Has ever been in local authority care (even if they are now 25+)
Or;
Where the training provider is based in the Somerset County Council Area.
